MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin needed to win and have some help from across the NACC to stay in the hunt for the regular-season title, however, Illinois Tech stunned the Falcons with a 70-64 victory inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After some back-and-forth action for the first few minutes of the game, the Scarlet Hawks built a double-digit advantage in the first and maintained their lead the rest of the way. The Falcons would make it interesting in the final minute of the game, getting to within three points after Jordan Johnson made a pair of free throws following an Illinois Tech technical foul. Concordia Wisconsin drove to the bucket on the next possession and amidst some possible contact couldn't get the layup to go down.
- Following a pair of Scarlet Hawk free throws, the Falcons missed a 3-pointer that would have gotten the game back to one possession with 12 seconds to play.
- Concordia Wisconsin struggled from distance, making just 3-of-16 attempts from long range, while also committing 20 turnovers.
- Junior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.) had a team-high 16 points, while Johnson (junior, Cedarburg, Wis.) had 12 points. Senior Olalekan George (Milwaukee, Wis.) netted 10 points. Sophomore Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) had eight points, six rebounds and seven assists.
- Illinois Tech was led by Miles Curry who had a game-high 23 points, while Max Hisatake had seven points and 14 rebounds. Ahmad Muhammad scored 19 points (four 3-pointers) as well.
