Falcons fall in 2OT at Illinois Tech

CHICAGO -- Concordia Wisconsin twice had opportunities to win the game on 3-point attempts, but couldn't get either to fall before Illinois Tech took over in the second extra period for an 83-74 double-overtime NACC victory on Saturday afternoon inside Keating Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Illinois Tech overcame a six-point deficit over the last four minutes of regulation and benefited from a Concordia Wisconsin missed 3-pointer from the top of the key to put five more minutes on the clock. Both teams traded blows in the first overtime and the Scarlet Hawks' Miles Currey drained a long ball with 11 seconds to play prior to a Falcons missed triple from the right wing.
- Illinois Tech made a 3-pointer and two free throws in the first 65 seconds of the second overtime to take a five-point lead. They then made another triple and six more free throws to hold off any Falcons run.
- Sophomore Jared Jurss led the visitors with 22 points and five assists, while junior Jared Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) had 12 points and eight rebounds. Junior Alex Antonie (Sheboygan Falls, Wis.) had 12 points and four rebounds off the bench. Junior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.) netted seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The last time the Falcons played in a double-overtime game was February 8, 2012 when they won 106-102 over Lakeland.
