Men's Basketball picked fifth in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin was chosen to finish fifth in the NACC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons finished the 2018-19 season with an 18-8 overall record and a 16-4 record in NACC play to finish as co-champions in the regular-season standings.

MSOE tallied 261 points and 16 first-place votes, while Aurora and Benedictine received three and two first-place votes and 235 and 223 points, respectively. Illinois Tech and Concordia Wisconsin came in at fourth and fifth in the poll and each received a first-place vote, along with 211 and 206 points.

Lakeland was sixth with 140 points, Edgewood seventh with 139 points and Wisconsin Lutheran eighth with 120 points. Marian (77 points), Concordia Chicago (76 points), Rockford (68 points) and Dominican (38 points) rounded out the poll.

The first full night of league play is Saturday, November 23, when four games are on the docket.

The NACC's regular-season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
