Men’s Basketball clinches NACC Tournament berth

MEQUON, Wis. – With five games remaining the in the regular season, Concordia Wisconsin has clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament following its 83-66 victory over Lakeland on Saturday inside the R. John Buuck House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin led early and often, before eventually building a double-digit lead during the second half. The Falcons made 57.1 percent from the field and drained a season-best 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from long range.
- Lakeland struggled mightily in the opening half beyond the arc making 1-of-15, which put them in a hole it couldn't get out of. The visitors couldn't get this going from outside and was never able to recover.
- Senior Josh Hau (Slinger, Wis.) and sophomore Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) each had a game-best 19 points. Hau made five 3-pointers and Johnson ended with 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
- Freshman Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) scored 15 points, while senior Jake Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) had 10 points. Senior Andrew Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) finished with seven points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four blocks.
- Pat McDonald had 15 points for the Muskies and Jequan Pegeese recorded 13 points and five rebounds. Eric Nygaard also had 12 points.

GAME NOTES
- The Falcons made 10-of-11 free throws (90.9 percent), but did commit 17 turnovers.
- MSOE is the other team in the NACC to have clinched a berth in the NACC Tournament. The league's postseason tournament is the top six teams in the standings.
