Johnson named FOY, Hau earns All-NACC First Team honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Jordan Johnson was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Freshman of the year, while Josh Hau earned All-NACC First Team honors.

The Falcons are 15-11 overall and were 12-8 in league play, which put them in a tie for fourth place, but were given the fifth seed because of a tiebreaking scenario. They defeated Lakeland 99-85 in the first round of the NACC Tournament on Tuesday.

Johnson (freshman, Cedarburg, Wis.) played in all 26 games, making 14 starts, was second on the team in scoring at 14.8 per game. He leads the conference in free throw percentage (86.3) and is fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (39.8). The rookie guard has scored 20-plus points in seven games and has four double-doubles to his credit over the past six games. Johnson was also named to the All-NACC Honorable Mention Team.

Hau (junior, Slinger, Wis.) paced Concordia Wisconsin with a 17.1 points per game average. The guard ranks second in the conference in free throw percentage (84.3) and top-10 in field goals, 3-pointers and free throws made. He scored 20-plus points in eight games, including a pair of a career-high 30 point outings. The experienced leader also had five or more rebounds in 16 contests.

Concordia Wisconsin will compete against second-seeded Benedictine on Friday at 5 pm in a NACC Tournament semifinal game, which will be played at Aurora who is the top-seed.
