Oglethorpe runs past Men's Basketball with second half run

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Oglethorpe compiled an 18-3 scoring run during a six-plus minute span to turn the game in its favor and go on to win 82-69 during a non-conference Daytona Beach Shootout contest inside the Ocean Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oglethorpe put together a dishearting scoring run for Concordia Wisconsin, who led by five points with 14 minutes to play in the game. Over the next six-plus minutes, the Stormy Petrels scored 18 points (four layups and four 3-pointers during the run) to sway all the momentum in their favor.
- A large reason the opposition put the game away in the second half was their 64.5 pecent shooting (20-of-31) and seven 3-pointers.
The Falcons were never able to get any closer than their double-figure deficit and ended the tournament by splitting the two games played.
- Junior Jake Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) led Concordia Wisconsin with 20 points (four 3-pointers), while freshman Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) scored 12 points off the bench.
- Sophomore Matt Ulrich (Palatine, Ill.) scored a career-high 10 points, to go along with four assists and three steals. Senior Noah Gosse (Green Bay, Wis.) ended with 10 points in 16 minutes of action.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons bench outscored the Stormy Petrels 27-4 in the loss.

THE OPPOSITION
- Will Perry led all players with 28 points on 12-of-18 shooting (three 3-pointers), to go along with eight rebounds and four steals.
- Chris Lawrence added 21 points, while Connor Smith chipped in 19 points, four rebounds and two steals.

- Concordia Wisconsin hosts Wisconsin Lutheran on January 3 in a NACC contest at 7 pm inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
