Falcons fly past Eagles in convincing fashion

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin built a double-digit lead midway through the first half and never looked back during a convincing 91-65 victory over Edgewood in NACC play inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood entered the matchup as the second-ranked defensive team in the NACC, but it was only a matter of time before Concordia Wisconsin's high-octane offense proved to be too much. The Falcons had a double-figure lead midway through the opening half and extended the advantage to a game-high 27 points with 5:58 to play.
- Of the many reasons the hosts won, was their bench producing 44 points. Freshman Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) continues to impress with a season-high 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while hauling in five rebounds. Junior Noah Gosse (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded nine points off the bench.
- Overall, Concordia Wisconsin shot a season-best 53.6 percent (37-of-69) from the field and made 12-of-13 free throws. They also won the rebounding battle 42-34.
- A trio of starter scored double-digit points, with junior Andrew Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) recording a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds). Junior Jake Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) also had 16 points, to go along with six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Junior Josh Hau (Slinger, Wis.) added 12 points and five rebounds.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons led for 37:29 in the game, compared to the Eagles 56 seconds. They also had a 50-30 edge in points in the paint.
- Concordia Wisconsin's 92.3 percent at the free throw line is tied for the eighth-highest percentage in a game in program history.

THE OPPOSITION
- Travis Kell led all scorers with 32 points on 13-of-17 shooting, to go along with six rebounds and two blocks. Emil Radisevic had six points and seven rebounds, while Ben Seefeld scored eight points off the bench.
