Courtside Notes: Men's Basketball plays MSOE in NACC tilt

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin begins 2017 with a Wednesday 7 pm NACC contest against MSOE inside the R. John Buuck Field House. The Falcons are looking to break a four-game losing streak.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
- NEED A BOOST: It has been a while since the Falcons put a check in the win column, as they are currently on a four-game losing streak. The last time they had a four-game losing streak was to end the 2013-14 season.

- KEEP CLIMBING: Eric Kittel needs just 68 more points to become the highest scorer for the program during the NCAA era (1997-98 to present), surpassing Edward Newton-Kemp's 1,293 points. In addition, he needs 265 points to be the program's all-time leader scorer. At his current pace of 16.4 points per game, he has an outside chance.

- HOME IS COMFORTABLE: The Falcons feel at home inside the R. John Buuck Field House, with a 3-1 record this season. Over the past two-plus seasons they have an 18-9 record on their home court.

- A PERSONAL MILESTONE: Shawn Cassidy could obtain a personal milestone with a victory over MSOE, making it his 300th career victory. During his time at CUW, he has amassed 155 wins, to go along with 144 victories from his time as head coach at Orange Lutheran High School.

- HANDLING THE GRIND: Concordia Wisconsin knows how to handle the NACC grind during January with Shawn Cassidy at the wheel. In the first month of the calendar year, the Falcons are 51-21 in league games under Cassidy's leadership.

- JURSS TORCHING THE NETS: Jake Jurss is on first this season from downtown, to put it lightly. The sophomore is shooting a blistering 47.9 percent (34-of-71) from long range, which leads the NACC and ranks 31st nationally.
