UW-Oshkosh rallies past Falcon men's basketball 70-62.

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis.- Concordia Wisconsin (5-4) led for most of this evening's contest, but a sudden uncharacteristic lull on both ends of the court allowed UW-Oshkosh (5-6) to rally for a 70-62 win.

CUW's defense held the Titans to just 25% shooting during a workmanlike first half before the tables turned swiftly as UW-O hit one difficult shot after another while the Falcons went ice cold.

Concordia was on top 45-38 with just over nine minutes remaining before a 10 point Titan burst over the next 60 seconds turned things around to the extent that the Falcons stayed close but never fully recovered.

Shawn Cassidy's team was eventually forced to foul down the stretch and the Titans increased their lead from four points with a minute remaining to the final 70-62 cushion.

Steve Zielinski (Sr. /Brown Deer, Wis.) led CUW with 13 points but was shut down during UW- O's stretch run.  Bryan Donaldson (Sr. / Greenfield, Wis.) had all 10 of his points after halftime.

Senior Brian Jackson (Carol Stream, Ill.) dished out six assists for the Falcons and Mark Pace (Sr./ Milwaukee, Wis.) led Concordia rebounders with half a dozen.

The victors, who had seven players score between eight and 15 points, were torrid from the field and the charity stripe during the second half.  Besides improving their game-long field goal percentage to 41%, the Titans knocked down 17 of 20 free throw opportunties.

CUW plays UW-Stout on Sunday.
