Falcon men's basketball hosts Maranatha Saturday/ The Scouting Report

MEQUON, Wis.- The Falcon men's basketball squad will host NAC foe Maranatha in game two of Saturday's doubleheader at about 4:15pm in the Buuck Fieldhouse.

The Crusaders feature a strong scoring tandem led by Brett Cashner who is averaging 20 points per game while shooting an excellent 60% from the field.  Cashner is second on the team in rebounding with better than eight per game.

Joel Borchardt, the other major Maranatha offensive threat, is just behind Cashner at 19 points per contest. Borchardt gets 11 rebounds each time out and has already been to the free throw line 48 times, connecting on 28 of those opportunities.  He has also dished out 11 assists.  Tanner Moses leads MBBC with 12 steals.

MBBC is averaging about 60 points per game while allowing close to 69.  Since dropping their first four games of the 2012-13 season, Maranatha has defeated Lincoln Christian and Great Lakes in close decisions.

Maranatha is shooting 37% while allowing opponents to connect on 41%.  Rebounding has been a problem for the Crusaders as opponents have outboarded them 241-212 on the season.
