Megan McPike named SAA Offensive Player of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) named Megan McPike the Offensive Player of the Week in field hockey on Monday afternoon.

A sophomore from Mequon, Wisconsin, McPike is claiming the honor for the first time this season.

On Friday, she scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Converse.

McPike scored a program-record four goals and an assist in a 6-1 victory over Transylvania on Sunday that helped secure a first-round bye in the SAA Tournament.

This is the second time this season that a Falcon has claimed an SAA weekly accolade, with freshman Emily Binley earning the defensive nod on Sept. 2.

McPike and the Falcons will compete in the SAA Tournament on Saturday against Rhodes.
