Sam Dunn to play in Senior Game

GILBERT, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its selections for the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game on Wednesday morning. Sam Dunn of Hartland, Wisconsin, was named one of 60 participants.

"I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to play among the top seniors throughout the division," said Dunn. "I am excited to play one last game in my college career and represent the program, school and the state of Wisconsin."

The Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game features top senior players in the nation. The selected seniors are given the opportunity to represent their institution while competing against their peers. This year, the Division III Senior Game will take place in conjunction with the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship in Manheim, Pennsylvania.

The Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game is currently projected for 5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex following the completion of the NCAA Division III semifinal games.

Dunn is the first Falcon to claim this honor.

"I am very proud of Sam for achieving this national honor," said head coach Samantha Schoessow. "She has shown a commitment to the game and our program over the last four years. It is an incredible honor to be one of only 60 players to be selected from 168 teams. I know she will do well and represent our region and state with pride."

The Hartland native is a two-time all-region selection. In 2018, she was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team. In 2018, she became the program's first-ever all-region selection on the Great Lakes All-Region Second Team.

This year, Dunn leads CUW with six goals on the year. She has also tallied an assist and two defensive saves.
