Overtime bites Field Hockey at DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – For the second-straight day, the Falcons fell in overtime. DePauw picked up a 4-3 victory to send the Falcons to 2-6 on the season.

Junior Callie Neumann (Dousman, Wis.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard in the 15th minute when she picked up the ball off a rebound.

The Tigers took the lead on a 3-0 run.

Senior Sam Dunn (Hartland, Wis.) cut into the lead in the 42nd minute with a shot from within the circle.

Sophomore Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) tied the game in th3 53rd minute when she beat the last defender.

Senior Kelsey Fulton (Hartland, Wis.) was credited with the assist.

The Tigers scored in the final seconds of the first overtime period to win.

DePauw held a 25-22 advantage in shots on Sunday.

Sophomore Katelyn Fitzgerald (Wood River, Ill.) finished with 11 saves.

The Falcons will look to get back into the win column on Saturday at Oberlin.
