MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons sent the homecoming crowd home happy with a 24-14 victory over St. Norbert on Saturday. The victory sends CUW to 6-1 on the season and keeps the Falcons in second place at 4-1 in the NACC.

The Green Knights took the first lead of the game with a touchdown with 14 seconds left in the first quarter.

A second-quarter field goal from freshman Andre Casas (Oswego, Ill.) from 37 yards out cut into the SNC lead.

The Green and Yellow scored another second-quarter touchdown to take a 14-3 lead into halftime.

Freshman Pierre Summers III (Columbus, Ga.) found the end zone on a six-yard rush late in the third quarter.

Summers gave the Falcons the lead with a one-yard rush with 10:20 left in the game.

The Green Knights were threatening to take the lead when senior Josiah McDermit (Kansasville, Wis.) intercepted a pass in the end zone.

Senior James Linn (Chino Hills, Calif.) sealed the deal with a career-long 48-yard rush to put the Falcons up by 10 points.

An interception from sophomore Ben Kraft (Wauwatosa, Wis.) iced all hopes of a comeback.

The CUW offense did not turn the ball over once to the defense that leads the NACC in fumbles, interceptions and sacks. The Green Knights came into Saturday ranked third in NCAA Division III in fumbles recovered, team sacks and turnovers gained.

James Linn threw for 143 yards in the victory. Junior Christian Booker (Chicago, Ill.) led all receivers with 60 yards.

Pierre Summers III finished with 121 yards.

Sophomore Justice Kaneta (Brighton, Colo.) led the flock with 10 tackles.

The Falcons have now intercepted 15 passes and had multiple interceptions in four games.

CUW looks to take back the Cheese Bowl on Saturday night at Lakeland.
