Mason named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
IRVING, Texas -- Concordia Wisconsin's Jacob Mason was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of collegiate football student-athletes from all division of play who maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade point average or better throughout their careers.
An all-time high of 1,661 players from a record 426 schools qualified for membership in the society's 13th year.
Mason was a triple-threat for the Falcons on the field, playing the positions of defensive back, kicker and punter.
The Slinger, Wisconsin native was second in the NACC with 19 punts inside the 20-yard line and had an average of 37.5. He was second in the league with five field goals on eight attempts, to go along with 33 extra points made on 35 attempts. He scored 48 points as a kicker and had at least six in five games. Mason also registered 49 total tackles (27 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss and seven pass breakups.
Mason is a psychology major and will be graduating in May.
