Football drops NACC game at Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin's offense fell flat on Saturday during a 24-0 loss at Rockford during NACC play at Sam Greeley Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A week after putting 45 points on the board, Concordia Wisconsin's offense gained just 185 total offensive yards and 12 first downs. They also were 0-of-9 on third-down conversions.
- Rockford had 359 total offensive yards and rushed for 301 offensive yards, with quarterback Eric Mackey leading the way with 113 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
- The Regents struck the scoreboard first with a 20-yard field goal with 10 seconds to play in the opening quarter. They then put a rushing touchdown by Mackey on the second board in the second quarter to lead 10-0 at halftime.
- Rockford had two passing touchdowns from Mackey to Adam Ambrogio – a 2-yarder in the third and a 26-yard pass and catch touchdown in the final quarter.
- Sophomore Dwayne Rackard III (Orlando, Fla.) led all players with 13 tackles, while freshman Devin Shibiliski (Union Grove, Wis.) had nine tackles and a sack. Sophomore Brandon Hargis (Henderson, Nev.) intercepted a pass midway through the fourth quarter.
- Senior Aaron Nixon (North Prairie, Wis.) passed for 135 yards, but threw three interceptions. Freshman Tanner Hill (Phoenix, Ariz.) had three catches for 69 yards.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin hosts Wisconsin Lutheran on November 10 at 12 pm at Tomasini Stadium and will play for the Luther Cup.
