Plachinski lands on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

Scott Plachinski, a senior right-handed pitcher for the Concordia University Wisconsin Baseball team, has been named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week, the site announced Tuesday.

Plachinski (South Milwaukee, Wis.) was one of two relief pitchers named to the Team of the Week for the events of April 16-22. He made two appearances against then No. 8 Concordia Chicago Friday, picking up a win in game one and a save in the nightcap.

The senior threw 3.2 scoreless frames over the doubleheader sweep, the Falcons first over the Cougars since the 2010 season. Plachinski tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in the game one win before coming on for the final three outs in an 11-10 game two victory.

Plachinski and the Falcons will be back in action Wednesday with a road doubleheader at Benedictine beginning at 3 p.m.
