Ranieri collects NACC Baseball Player of the Week honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Senior third basemen Dan Ranieri has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player of the Week for the events of March 12-18, the league office announced Monday night.

Ranieri (Loves Park, Ill.) batted .448 over the Falcons final eight games on their Arizona trip. He drove in 11 runs, all 11 coming over the team's final four games where they posted a 3-1 record in doubleheaders against Salem State and Macalester. The senior hit safely in seven of eight games, scoring eight runs and finishing the week with a .553 on-base percentage.

Ranieri and the Falcons are scheduled for a pair of home games this weekend. CUW is set to host Northland at 1 p.m. Friday and Ripon at 1 on Saturday.
