MILWAUKEE - Concordia University Wisconsin's offense exploded with 30 hits during a Northern Athletics Conference sweep over cross-town rival MSOE on Monday at Henry Aaron Field. The Falcons won the first game 14-0 in seven innings before hanging on for a 5-4 victory in the nightcap..


Andrew Mueller and Austin Baglow were impressive on the mound for CUW, as the duo tossed a combined 14.0 innings and gave up just nine hits. Mueller threw a complete game shutout and Baglow allowed two runs, to go along with six strikeouts in the second contest.

CUW (8-10, 5-3 NAC) was led by Steldt's (sophomore, West Bend, Wis.) five hits, including two doubles, and three RBI. Martz (senior, West Bend, Wis.) recorded five hits and scored three runs, while senior David Enters (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished with four hits and four runs scored. Senior Nick Doedens (Germantown, Wis.) also drove in three runs.

Zane Witt led MSOE (3-19, 1-7 NAC) with three hits and Maxwell Poeske finished with two hits, both doubles, and a run scored. The Raiders struck out nine times in the doubleheader and batted .246 in 57 at-bats.
