UW-W answered with four runs in the second and five in the fifth to take a 9-2 lead. The Warhawks benefited from two hit-by-pitches, three errors and two walks by the Falcons. They also recorded three singles, a double and a stolen base in the two frames.

Junior Daniel Mueller (West Bend, Wis.) drove in his only run of the game on a single to right field, which scored Sarauer from third to make the score 9-3 after three innings of play.

CUW scored a run in each of the next three innings while UW-W plated a run in the fifth off a double to hold a 10-6 advantage at the end of six frames.
