2011 Season (Freshman, Marian University): Earned All- Northern Athletics Conference Freshman Team honors as a catcher.... Started 23 out of 29 games played.... Finished the season batting .271 with 6 doubles and 11 RBIs.
High School (Oshkosh West High School): Earned 3 varsity letters in baseball...Was named first team all-conference his junior and senior years... Was also named the team MVP his senior year.
Personal: Son of Brian and Michelle Burgert... Has two older brothers, Bryan and Brandon... Both brothers also played college baseball, Bryan at Marian University and Brandon at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
