Acrobatics and Tumbling sends pyramids to NCATA Championships

MEQUON, Wis. - The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association's Championship committee announced the match-ups and at-large selections for the 2019 NCATA National Championship Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

"We are beyond excited to be returning to nationals again this year for event finals," said head coach Sarah Koenig. "This team has really put in the work this season and we have been stressing the little things the past few weeks. This is a huge honor for the program to have the opportunity to represent CUW at nationals and to compete against the best teams in the nation. We are so excited for the team to experience the atmosphere that comes with competing at the national level and know it's going to be an amazing experience."

All three pyramid heats qualified for at-large bids for the national championship.

The inversion pyramid posted a score of 9.95 points at Adrian.

The synchronize pyramid closed the regular season with a score of 9.85 points at Adrian.

The Falcons posted a perfect 10-point score to close the year in the open pyramid.

The championship will take place from April 25-27 at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
