Acrobatics and Tumbling closes season with Senior Day win

MEQUON, Wis. – It was a day of celebration for the Concordia Wisconsin Acrobatics and Tumbling Saturday in the Falcons season-ending meet against Adrian. Not only did the Falcons celebrate a 237.855-213.325 win over the Bulldogs, but they also celebrated the careers of five seniors who helped start and grow the program.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons opened up with a strong showing in the Compulsory event scoring 33.35 points across five heats. CUW was at its best in the toss heat, scoring 9.60 out of a possible 10 points. The Falcons led by seven points after the first event.

- The Falcons extended their lead slightly after the Acro event by scoring 26.45 out of a possible 30 points in three heats. Heat 3 (7 Element) was the Falcons best in the second event, a 9.15 out of 10 points.

- The lead grew in the Pyramid event and that is where the Falcons were at their best Saturday. CUW totaled 28.95 out of a possible 30 points, including a 9.80 in Heat 2 (Synchronized). The Falcons 88.75-75.55 at halftime.

- CUW scored 25.30 in the toss events and once again extended its lead before totaling 45.225 points over six tumbling events. Heading into the team event the Falcons held a convincing lead, winning all five events leading up to the finale.

- In the team event, CUW soared to 78.58 points and completed the sweep, winning all six events on Saturday.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons celebrated the careers of five seniors who competed in their final meet of their collegiate careers. Erika Edlund, Jacqueline Albino, Alana Polsfuss, Karen Avery, and Danielle Krumins were a part of the first CUW Acrobatics and Tumbling class and helped grow the program to what it is today.
