Anderson hat trick guides ACHA Hockey to convincing win

MEQUON, Wis. – Cole Anderson recorded a hat trick as the Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA Men's Hockey Team rolled to a 9-4 win over UW-La Crosse Friday. The win was the third straight for the Falcons and seventh in their last nine games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anderson scored two goals in the first period and completed his hat trick in the third in leading the Falcons attack Friday. Anthony Pickering had an assist on each of Anderson's goal and finished the game with six points (one goal, five assists) while Dillon Schwartzenberger assisted on two of Anderson's scores. Schwartzenberger added a goal of his own and tallied four assists.

- Trailing 1-0, the Falcons got a goal from Max Schramm to get the scoring started with 13:21 left in the opening period. CUW went down 2-1 before Anderson's first goal evened things back up. Both teams would score again before the opening period was up, making the score 3-3 after 20 minutes of play.

- James Buck and Benny Serres tallied second-period scores for CUW, giving the Falcons a two-goal lead heading into the third. The Falcons would erupt for four goals in the final period with Paul Fisher joining Anderson, Pickering, and Schwartzenberger with third-period scores.

- Robert Houle got the win at goaltender for the Falcons Friday, which included shutting out the Eagles in the second period.
