ACHA Hockey outlasts UW-Milwaukee

BROOKFIELD – The Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team completed a weekend sweep over UW-Milwaukee with an 8-6 win Saturday night. The game was tied 6-6 heading into the third period but the Falcons were able to secure the win with a pair of goals over the final 20 minutes of play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anthony Pickering had another strong game for the Falcons, recording his third hat trick of the season. He scored one goal in each period and added two assists as well for a five-point evening.

- Dillon Schwartzenberger also posted a five-point game, recording four assists in addition to one goal. The Falcons had five players record two or more points in Saturday's win while 12 players had at least one.

- Zach Fountain scored the game-winning goal Saturday, coming 10:42 into the third period to break the 6-6 tie. Max Schramm and Benny Serres assisted on the game-winner.

- The Panthers tied the game at 6-6 with a score with one second left in the second. CUW led the game 3-2 after one period, but UW-Milwaukee outscored the Falcons 4-2 in the second period.

- Robert Houle started the game at goaltender for the Falcons, stopping 26 shots. Hunter DePorter finished the game with 19 saves on 20 shots, picking up the win.
