ACHA Hockey returns with Friday home game against Aurora

MEQUON, Wis. – After over a month since last playing, the Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA (D2) Men's Hockey Team returns to action this weekend. The Falcons will have their hands full in their first series of 2018, taking on unbeaten Aurora in a home-and-home series. CUW will host Aurora Friday night at 8 p.m.

NOTES
- The Falcons enter this weekend's series on a four-game winning streak, having swept Augustana and UW-Superior before the extended break. CUW is 6-8 this season, but 12 of those 14 games came on the road. The Falcons will host six of their final eight regular season games at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

- Anthony Pickering has been one of the most productive scorers in the ACHA (D2) ranks this season. Pickering ranks 19th among all players with 45 points, having scored 26 goals to go along with 19 assists in just 14 games. Pickering has two six-goal games already this year and has recorded a point in every contest.

- Aurora is one of two unbeaten teams in ACHA (D2), along with 18-0-2 Trine. The Spartans have outscored opponents by 100 goals this year (135-35). Aurora has three players with 30 or more points, led by Andrew Bergquist (36).

- Brian Johnson and Robert Houle split time at goaltender for the first half of the season, with Houle appearing in 10 games, while Johnson saw action in six. The Falcons have added another goaltender, Hunter DePorter, to the roster, as the position will be one to watch in the second half.
