ACHA Hockey falls in overtime against MSOE

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team fell in overtime to MSOE in the club's home opener on Friday night. The Falcons, who erased a 2-0 deficit with four straight goals, saw the Raiders storm back in the final minutes and win the game in overtime. CUW is now 1-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders built a 2-0 in the first period before CUW responded with its first goal in the second. Cole Anderson tallied the score for the Falcons, assisted by Anthony Pickering and Andrej Buchko.

- The Falcons came out strong in the third period, scoring three consecutive goals to take a 4-2 advantage. Pickering, Buchko, and Anderson tallied the three scores as the Falcons top line continues to produce. The Pickering and Anderson scores were on the power play.

- MSOE scored twice in the final three minutes to force overtime, before winning 3:31 into the extra session. Ian Wolkomicz scored the game-winner for the MSOE Club Team, one of his two goals in the contest.

- Robert Houle (Sun Prairie, Wis.) made 29 saves for the Falcons.

- Jonathon Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) had a strong game for CUW, finishing with two assists. Shelby McPhail (Port Washington, Wis.) added an assist as well.
