Welcome! This afternoon the Falcons host the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Tech in the NACC Tournament Semifinals. The Falcons are the top seed in the tournament after posting a 12-1-0 record in the NACC and tying for first place in the NACC with Dominican and MSOE. The Blue and White have a 14-3-0 record and have won their last four matches. IIT is the No. 4 seed in the tournament and knocked off St. Norbert, 1-0, to advance to the semifinal round at 14-5-1 on the year and a 10-3-0 campaign in the NACC.

CUW is making its 15th appearance in the NACC Tournament. CUW is 12-11-2 all-time in the tournament,

With a championship in 2019 and second-place finishes in 2006 and 2014. Illinois Tech is 3-2-0 in the NACC Tournament, with a second-place finish in 2018.

Today will be the fifth match in the series between the Falcons and

Scarlet Hawks. The series is tied with a record of 2-2-0. The Blue and White have won the last two meetings, with a victory this year at home and in a snowy, 2019 NACC semifinal, with a 5-3 victory. IIT won the previous two matches by a one-goal margin. CUW won this year’s meeting, 3-0, with senior Isabel Downs scoring two goals.

On Tuesday, Kaeley Sterkel was named the NACC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She posted shutouts over Lake Forest and Lakeland.

Junior Selena Esten is ranked fourth in NCAA Division III in goals per game at 1.38, third in total goals with 22 and sixth in total points with 47 and shots on goal per game at 3.62. Jordan Lafferty ranks sixth in assists per game at .69 and fifth in total assists with 11.

Illinois Tech defeated St. Norbert in the quarterfinals with a goal in the 14th minute from Julia Taliana. Hailey Flannagan had four saves.
