Bio

Associate head coach/special teams coordinator/wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Jeff Walker completed his 21st season with the Falcons in 2021.

Walker coached Jacob Mason from 2015 to 2018, who is the program's all-time leader in punts (199), punting yards (7,706) and punting average (38.7). Mason also set numerous season punting records.

Walker's special team's units have been impressive during his tenure and annually rank in the top-5 in the NACC. During his time, the special teams unit has eight eight program single-season records and the 2015 team led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in punting average (40.3), PATs (22) and kick return average (26.8). As well, the 2013 team helped the Falcons to an 8-3 overall record and an undefeated conference title run. The Falcons had the top kickoff return unit (1,004 yards) and punt return unit (11.8 yards per return). His kickers and punters ranked in the top-3 in average per kick. Walker had his kicker and punter each earn All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference accolades.

During his coaching career, he has spent 11 years coordinating defense and three years directing the offensive side of the ball before moving into his current role.

After graduating from Madison Memorial High School, Walker's coaching career began as a student assistant at UW-Whitewater from 1987 to 1990. He was the first-ever Concordia University Wisconsin graduate assistant during the 1992 and 1993 seasons before taking his coaching skills to Kansas Wesleyan University for two seasons.

Walker then returned to Wisconsin to get married and begin a third coaching stint with CUW. He had been at Fort Hays State University (Kan.) for the previous six years.

Jeff and his wife Dawn (CUW, '90) have two children, Tyler and Keri.
