Bio

Henny Hiemenz joined the Concordia University Wisconsin football program in 2011 as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach.

Hiemenz's spread no-huddle offense has been one of the most potent attacks in the nation during his time, with the offensive record book being re-written in several categories. In all, 24 team offensive team records have been set, as well as 24 individual offensive records.

Hiemenz's quarterbacks have thrived under his tutelage. He has coached two starting quarterbacks, Austin Damaschke and Aaron Nixon, who were ranked in the top-15 nationally in total offense four times during a six-year window. Damaschke was the NCAA statistical champion in 2014 for all of NCAA Division III in yards per game (378), was a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy and the winner of the WFCA and NACC Player of the Year awards. The 2018 season saw Nixon ranked 12th in the country in total offense (309 yards per game).

Prior to CUW, Hiemenz was the head coach at Carroll University where he led the program for five seasons. He has the highest winning percentage of any Carroll head football coach in the last 40-plus years. From 2003-05 he was Carroll’s offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, and recruiting coordinator. Prior to Carroll, he was the wide receivers coach at Utica College for one season and from 2000-01 Hiemenz was the running backs coach at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) where he helped coach that program to back-to-back CCIW Co-Championships.

While coaching at IWU Hiemenz earned his MS in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Illinois State University. He started his coaching career at Ithaca College in 1999 as an assistant offensive line coach. He graduated from Ithaca in December of 1998 with a BS in Physical Education and was a three-year letter winner on the Ithaca football team and starting fullback on the 1998 squad.

Hiemenz is an active member of the American Football Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. He lives in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin with his wife Kim and daughter Ava.
