Falcon weekend preview: Multiple teams competing in different states

MEQUON, Wis. - Ranging across four different states, Concordia University Wisconsin will have 10 different teams in action this weekend.

The Men's Golf team will hit the links Sunday when they play the second round of the NAC Championship at the Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora, Ill. The Falcons are currently tied for 6th place at the meet, as the first round was held during the fall season. The meet will conclude Monday with the third and fourth rounds.

Men's Tennis kicks off the weekend for CUW Athletics as they are taking part in the four-team Concordia Invitational Tournament. CUW will face Concordia University Nebraska, Concordia University Greenville, and Concordia Seminary with all games being played in St. Louis.

Saturday will be the busiest day for the Falcons as eight teams will be competing, four of those playing at home as Baseball will host Aurora University in a Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader, while Men's and Women's Lacrosse will both host Benedictine University. Also playing home games will be the Women's Tennis team as it hosts a pair of non-conference dual matches. CUW will take on St. Norbert College at 11 a.m. before a matchup against Beloit College at 3:30 p.m. Both matches will be at the Kohler Sports Core.

The Men's and Women's Track & Field teams returns to action this Saturday, taking part in their third outdoor meet of the season. Both teams are in Cedarville, Ohio for the Cedarville Collegiate All-Corners Meet, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.

The NAC Championship winning Women's Golf team begins its spring schedule at the Benedictine University Invite Saturday and Sunday. The meet will be played at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club, beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday.

Softball will play one conference twinbill this weekend, as they are set to visit Alverno College Saturday afternoon. The games will be just the second time CUW has played away from its home field since returning from its spring break trip.

Following a Saturday doubleheader that will feature its 16th and 17th straight games played at Kapco Park, the Baseball team will finally hit the road for a conference doubleheader at Benedictine Sunday. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
