CUW announces incoming student-athletes

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin is pleased to announce the latest group of incoming student-athletes for the 2015-16 athletic year. The NCAA passed legislation for Division III which allows incoming student-athletes to sign a celebratory form to show they have committed to a respective institution and athletic program.

This list of student-athletes of have an accepted deposit at CUW, signed the form and their respecitive coach had submitted information to CUWFalcons.com.

Kacy Borwege Women's Hockey Owatonna, Minn. Owatonna
Kacy played in 74 games for Owatonna while posting a 2.69 goals against average and an .897 save percentage. She was a team captain and team MVP, while also being named a Big 9 All-Conference player. Also won Hobey Baker award, Brenda Wilcox Award, and was the Owatonna High School Senior Athlete of the Year. 
 
Jossa Danis Women's Hockey  Brandon, Manitoba Westman Wildcats AAA
Jossa skated in 62 games for Westman in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League. She finished fourth in scoring with 46 points (18g, 28a), while tallying 86 penalty minutes. Recipient of the high school Gold Medal Academic and also was on the Athletic Honor Roll. Won Gold in the Mac's Bell Midget Hockey Tournament.
       
Kristen Kennedy Women's Hockey London, Ontario London Devilettes MAA
Kristin skated for the London Devilettes Midget AA team in the Lower Lakes Girls Hockey League. Played in 32 games and scored 42 points (18 g, 24a). Selected to play in the Ontario Winter Games. Two-time team captain for high school team and three time high honors student.
       
Emily Kuhlman   Women's Hockey Cold Springs, Minn.  Rivers Lake
Emily skated in 25 games for Rivers Lake and scored 23 points (12g, 11a). She was an All-Central Lakes Conference player and also voted Team's Hardest Worker. Was a scholar athlete and on the honor roll. Also competed for the Minnesota Thoroughbreds of the Junior Women's Hockey League and was selected to the JWHL All-Star Game.
       
Christina Pattengale Women's Hockey Portage, Mich. Little Caesars AAA
Christina competed in 24 games for the Little Caesars AAA team in the High Performance Hockey League. Posted a 2.49 goals against average and had a .900 save percentage. Earned High School Academic Silver Award (3.5+) once and the Gold Award (3.7+) three times. First girl in school's history to make the boy's high school team. 
       
Andie Romanuik Women's Hockey Melfort, Saskatchewan Banff Hockey Academy
Andie played defense for Banff last season and scored 17 points (2g, 15a), while also being the Assistant Captain. Awarded the Most Improved Player. Also played for the Melfort Mustangs in the North Saskatchewan Female Hockey League, playing 22 games and scoring nine points (4g, 5a).
       
Ellie Woodman Women's Hockey Janesville, Wis. Fury Varsity/Team Wisconsin U19
Ellie played in 24 games for Fury, recording 43 points (24g, 22a), while being named All-USA Girls High School Hockey Second Team. She was also voted as the Top Defensive Player of the Year and was a finalsit for Ms. Hockey Wisconsin. She was First Team All-State, All-Area and All-Badger Conference. Also skated in 24 games for Team Wisconsin U19, scoring four points. Was a Wisconsin Tier 1 Champion, played in USA Hockey Tier 1 Nationals. Member of National Honor Society, and was an Honor Roll Student.
       
Maddy Zastrow Women's Hockey Greendale, Wis. Milwaukee Jr. Admirals/St. Catherine's University
Maddy played for St. Catherine's last year and scored six points in 25 games. She also competed for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals, scoring 19 points (5g, 13a) in 50 games. Was a team MVP and team captain. High honor roll student.
