CUWFalcons.com unveils redesigned website

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Athletic Department, in partnership with PrestoSports, is proud to redesign the athletics website.

CUW is continuing its partnership with PrestoSports, which began in May of 2012. The new website will feature much of the same content previously available to Falcon fans; including news, statistics, schedules, biographies and historical information. Changes the fans will notice the most is the new look of the main front page; along with video, calendar, social and sport pages.

The new look of the website has eliminated the static story with a calendar to the right and instead will feature six main stories on the front page, with additional stories easily accessible on the bottom right. In addition, the new CUWFalcons.com will better highlight the Falcons video and social media efforts, along with a new and improved look to the calendar, which will have links to live video and live statistics.

CUWFalcons.com will continue to serve as an all-access area for fans to find information on their favorite teams and student-athletes.

"We are pleased to continue our partnership with PrestoSports for this design and our website needs," Director of Athletic Communications Steven Schauer said. "We wanted the website to serve two purposes in that it would continue to be the main source for all information on Falcon athletics, but also assist in the recruiting efforts to showcase what being a student and an athlete at Concordia Wisconsin is all about."

The website continues to feature content for all 32 CUW athletic programs. Some of the unique design aspects of the website include four main slides after visiting CUWFalcons.com. Fans will get more information with six stories displayed instead of the one from the past. In addition, the video and social media slides better display the efforts of those in the athletic communications office to highlight Falcons student-athletes. As well, the calendar features 12 games displayed at once to give fans a quick view of what is going on.

The website retains its responsive design as well. No matter the device, the website will automatically resize the content to the screen to ensure that fans are getting the full experience of the site. In addition to the sleek design elements, PrestoSports and Concordia Wisconsin have worked closely to strengthen the website's security and its accessibility. An SSL has been added to the site to add security protection for data that will be gathered on the website, mainly through the use of forms and questionnaires. The website will now also be in working compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) to help meet ADA guidelines.
