Falcon Women collect second-straight NACC All-Sports Award
WAUKESHA, Wis. – For the second straight year and record sixth time overall, the Concordia University Wisconsin NACC Women’s programs have captured the All-Sports award, the league office announced Monday morning.
The Falcons compiled a 12.667 index this season, more than a full point ahead of runner-up Aurora (11.389). The Women’s All-Sports Award was the sixth all-time for CUW, the most among NACC schools. Aurora is second with five. The Falcons captured four straight Women’s All-Sports Awards from the 2007-08 season to the 2010-11 campaign before winning the last two consecutive as well.
In 2017-18, the Falcons captured Women’s NACC Championships in Tennis, Volleyball, Golf, and Cross Country. The tennis and volleyball programs won both the regular season and conference tournament titles this past season.
Overall, eight Women’s sports for CUW had a double-digit score towards the final index total. Women’s Basketball finished runner-up this past season, as did Indoor Track & Field. The Falcons also had top-three finishes in Outdoor Track & Field, as well as a tied for third in the regular season in Women’s Soccer.
