NACC releases 2014-15 All-Sportsmanship Teams

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2014-15 All-Sportsmanship Teams Thursday, with one player from each team from each school making the list. The players were selected by head coaches based on the principles of sportsmanship as promoted by the conference, as well as the NCAA.

The Falcons had 18 players on the All-Sportsmanship Team, one from each of 18 NACC sports CUW participates in. From the fall sports teams, CUW was represented by: Robert Meilbeck (Winthrop Harbor, Ill. – Men's Cross Country), Sarah Volkert (Rockford, Ill. - Women's Cross Country), Dylan Krivoshein (Cedarburg, Wis. - Football), Bridget Slater (Roseau, Minn. - Women's Golf), Jaclyn Theune (Oostburg, Wis - Women's Soccer), David Kulberg (Maple Grove, Minn. - Men's Soccer), Alisia Macioch (South St. Paul, Minn. - Women's Tennis), and Erin Howard (Labadie, Mo. - Volleyball).

The four winter sport athletes to receive All-Sportsmanship honors were: Madelyn Landgraf (Elkhart Lake, Wis. - Women's Basketball), Dustin Thumann (Marshfield, Wis. - Men's Basketball), Larissa Schiltz (DeForest, Wis. - Women's Indoor Track & Field), and Bathong Pham (Milwaukee, Wis. - Men's Indoor Track & Field).

CUW also had six student-athletes receive All-Sportsmanship honors from the spring season. Those six were: Kyle Hilliard (Oak Forest, Ill. - Baseball), Evan Rabas (Sherwood, Wis. - Men's Golf), Felicia Meyer (Lewiston, Minn. - Softball), Benjamin Nommensen (Waupaca, Wis. - Men's Tennis), Moria Kilgas (Omro, Wis. - Women's Outdoor Track & Field), and Stephen Bernau (Courtland, Minn. - Men's Outdoor Track & Field).

In addition to releasing the players who earned All-NACC Sportsmanship honors, the league announced Men's and Women's Sportsmanship Awards. Alverno College won the Women's Award, while Wisconsin Lutheran College earned the Men's. Each was a repeat selection from the 2013-14 season.
