Reiter named CUW Female Athlete of the Year

The CUW Athletic Department will also be naming a Male Athlete of the Year later this week, in addition to the Career Achievement Awards announced two weeks ago. Head coaches were allowed to nominate one student-athlete in their sport for the Athlete of the Year honors, which were then voted on by a committee. The Athlete of the Year awards can go to any student-athlete at CUW, regardless of year.

She was named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Year, as well as being an All-MWLC First Team selection. In addition to the single-season records, Reiter also posted career bests in ground balls (88), draw control wins (68) and caused turnovers (25), finishing second on the team in all of those categories. She averaged 5.18 grounds balls per game, which ranked 11th nationally. She also finished the season ranked 17th nationally in goals per game (4.12), while finishing 15th with 70 goals.

Reiter also tied three program game records through the 2014 campaign, which saw the Falcons post a 12-5 record, the best in its four-year history.
